I have found myself attending more baby showers than usual these days. Are my friends & family members really old enough to be having children? Eeeek! How did that happen? Time files.
Time can also escape a girl who is trying to figure out what to wear. Tick-tock. Fifteen minutes until you’ve got to be out the door. Clothes are all over the bed. The closet looks like it ate something bad for dinner. You look over at the unwrapped Diaper Genie. Could it possibly grant you three new wardrobe items? Hummm. You can’t decide what to wear and contemplate not going!
Oh no, lady. We won’t let you pull the card of indecision.
1. You already own something perfectly appropriate to wear to a baby shower.
2. Consider the time & location of the event. Standard advice for any soirée/celebration.
3. Remember, you are not the baby. Don’t feel compelled to dress in pastel pink or baby blue; and avoid onesies altogether.
Ever since Erin wrote about luxe shades of wine, I’ve been daydreaming about coordinating hues. Navy, charcoal, and peacock green pair well with merlot & other lavish colors. Combining rich tones in the fall warms my heart the way my poodle-baby does. Go wrap that diaper genie. Trust us, it’s is not going to grant you anything you’d want to wear.
Would you try either of these outfits for your next afternoon occasion? Or, do you already have a fall baby shower uniform?
