You came for fashion, and you’re getting vegetables. What gives?
Oh, just a couple of time & money-saving tips. Every Sunday afternoon, I wash, dry, peel and slice all veggies for the week. Then, I put the goods into ziplock bags to store. It’s an extremely therapeutic process. You heard right, the girl just said cutting produce is therapeutic. Seriously. Staying organized gives me a warm & fuzzy feeling. When I’m scrambling to get out of the house and don’t have time to make a lunch: Hello, carrots. You’re coming with me. My coworkers don’t even raise an eyebrow when they see me with an entire box of Triscuts, 3 bags of veggies and a container of hummus. Didn’t have time to make a lunch, they say in a non-judgy tone. We’ve all been there. So, how does this save you money? You’ll be less inclined to waste the food if you’ve done the prep work ahead of time. Besides, nobody likes to find a rotten water-logged pepper in the depths of the vegetable drawer. Um, that’s never happened to me.

We are swooning over G Star’s tee with that unique neckline. Plus, we love pink. It’s a sickness. Fine, let’s talk about the elephant in the room. The large CZ stud earrings have you questioning our fashion sense. They shouldn’t. A little sparkle will make you feel put together. Bedazzle those lobes like it’s 1989! Otherwise, keep things simple. Try to have at least one make-up free day each week – bb cream and lip balm are good skin care items to use on these days. Burt’s Bees ultra conditioning formula is great for days when you’re not going anywhere. It’s a little shiny and greasy, but it does vanish all signs of dryness. After you prepared those veggies, you owe yourself a pedicure. We are loving metallic polishes at the moment.
It’s only Wednesday, but is anyone else longing for a breezy relaxing afternoon to hang out and get things organized? It’s almost the weekend. Sort-of. Hummm, what’s your favorite vegetable? Chocolate doesn’t count!
